The Great Scale Train Show

Timonium, Maryland

January 25, 2003

The Prince William County Model railroad Club traveled to The Maryland State fairgrounds to participate in the Great Scale Train Show with our modular layout.  After a smooth setup, our members enjoyed two days of reliable running trains and a wealth of interaction with our fellow model railroaders.  PWMRC was also pleased to present three different clinics on various aspects of the hobby.  Enjoy our photos.

The Timonium Show saw the debut of a new module from one of our club members, Ernie L.  Good detailing and a complete scene made for an impressive debut.  Here Ernie's Southern glides by his module.
Walt's steamer rolls through one of Ed's modules.  The combination of two club member's talents provides an enjoyable view of a bygone era. Photo by Jim Connal

Bygone heralds are seen frequently on the PWMRC layout.  Here, Max's sleek R. F. & P. passenger consist heads south in mid morning.
Here's part of Manassas Yard as modeled very accurately by Russ.  Russ combines his hobbies of model trains and aviation in this accident scene.  Expert installation of lights by Steve contributes to the overall wealth of detail on this module.  The entire Manassas Yard scene is four modules long, all in great detail. It was a big day for steam on the PWMRC layout.  Harvey's richly detailed module with his scratch-built trestle is always a big attraction.  The ghostly image on he trestle is Pete's N.Y.C. passenger whizzing by.
Thomas made a well-received appaearance on our layout. Thomas is by Tim H. and the module is Lynn's. Photo by Jim Connal
