| The sights and sounds of model trains of all sizes and
styles filled the air at the 2004 Boy Scout Train Show put on by Scout Troop 964.
The Prince William Model Railroad Club joined with the Scouts, Piedmont Railroaders and
the Potomac Module Crew to build the largest layout yet. More than 100 modules were
assembled in just a few hours to fill the gymnasium with a great HO scale layout.
Most of the layouts featured digital control and radio dispatching. Along with the
HO layout were layouts in N, Z, S, O and G gauge as well as live steam outside. The
always popular Lego layout was a hit with attendees. Many Scouts received their
Railroad merit badge during the show and there was a full schedule of well-attended model
railroading clinics on both days of the show. |
