Boy Scout Train Show 2002

PWMRC was pleased to a part of the 4th Annual Boy Scout Train Show in Dale City.  Sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 964, the big event was held at Saunders Middle School on March 16th & 17th.  There were several layouts, including HO, Lionel, N, G, S and Lego.  Outside the school was a live steam layout.  Presentations included a couple clinic, TimeSaver modules, Operation Lifesaver and Scout merit badge clinics.
Note: 110 Scouts earned Railroad Merit Badges during the 2 day show.

The largest HO modular layout on the east coast filled the gymnasium, with modules from PWMRC, Piedmont Railroaders and many impressive modules from Boy Scout Troop 964.  With more than 12 scale miles of track, the Digitrax-controlled layout was operated with a busy dispatcher, yardmasters and dozens of engineers all using radio communications.
