With three modules in the layout, Bob R. provides a glimpse of his modeling skill. Choosing to recreate the road crossing at Bristow, Virginia, he adds a large dose of realism. Frequently spectators are overheard remarking just realistic the scene is. The picture of the fire (above) attracts many spectators. Hidden in the woods (below) is a peaceful scene of deer drinking in a creek. How many deer can you find?

The Prince William County Model Railroad Club once again participated in the annual Model Train Show produced by Troop 964 of the Boy Scouts. Again this year, we worked with the Boy Scouts, the Piedmont Railroaders and the Potomac Module Crew to build an HO modular layout of more than 15 scale miles. More than 100 modules were assembled in the gymnasium for the spectators to enjoy. With as many as 17 trains running at the same time, the engineers were busy. Behind each of these thumbnail pictures is a larger view of one of the modules. If you are interested in joining PWMRC, please contact us. |
With parts of his four modules still under construction, Lynn K. shows his modeling skills with a highly detailed interchange (above) and at the other end of his scene, there's a very busy intermodal operation (below). Click on an image to enlarge. |

Colorful and detailed structures highlight the three modules (below) from Mat. T. With billboards, signs, figures, vehicles and many small details, there's much to see everywhere. |

the old railcar-turned-diner (right). Take a close look at the enlarged image and you can't help buy feel hungry. Mat uses many signs, including 'open', to give the viewer a look at the menu of the diner. |

E. F. Smith has a prosperous operation at their railside warehouse. At first you see the many crates and boxes, but a closer look reveals Mat's real skills. Notice the plank with a broken end on the dock. | ||

![]() With a loooooong string of high-speed Triple Crown cars (above), Norfolk Southern 8978 passes a yard with it's valuable cargo. Russ R. not only builds detailed and accurate models, the running gear is superb for trouble-free operation. Using four modules to faithfully represent the Manassas Yard, there's always a crowd watching the welder (below).

![]() With plenty of rocks to work with, Jim C. has modeled several stone buildings, This one with 23 shades of grey, (above) which are sited near his realistic rockwork. Looking through the pine trees, these men are busy loading their pickup. |
