The Prince William County Model Railroad Club was part of the Greenberg's Train Show in Chantilly, Virginia on November 19 & 20, 2005.  Both days were busy and the trains were running fast.  A strong showing of PWMRC members produced a wide variety of trains and operations on our layout.  Steam & diesel, freight & passenger, Free-Mo & Thomas...it's all fun with trains and it's all here at PWMRC.

We continue to build our 'home' layout at the Depot in Quantico, Virginia...visit our Depot Main page.

The Nickel City Line provides a full schedule of daily commuter operations.  Today we find Paul running a passenger special.  A sharp eye will see that # 175 is arriving at Edston, Maryland.

The bridge over the mighty Edmol River is always a busy place.  Today we see Lyn's Conrail haulin' the freight on the bridge on Ed's module.

Steam is still king and Martin's Pennsylvania is pulling a long coal drag across his horse farm module.

It's only a short local freight train so a yard switcher got the assignment today.  With memories of the R. F. & P our local freight passes the woods in Bristow.  Train by Rob and Bristow module by Bob R.

Photo by Jim Connal It's the season for roadside carnivals in PWMRC-land.  On the left is Don's two module set of rides and amusements with Lew's Reading special rumbling by.  On the right we find Lynn's Illinois Central passing the carnival on the module built by Dave R.  Everybody is having fun today. Photo by Jim Connal Linger for a while at Lynn's modules and you quickly find yourself transported to a mid-western city.  The economy is based on grain so there is a need for a steady supply of tractors.  Those tractors won't sit in the yard very long as more 'John Deere Green' is on the way. Free-Mo made it's first appearance on the PWMRC layout.  Built by Tim B., these Free-Mo modules can be added almost anywhere on the layout and can face in (as they are today) or face out to display the switching operations.  With somewhat less strict standards, Free-Mo modules allow for more flexible track plans.
