This year's schedule of clinics are designed to help you get more enjoyment out of model railroadinng. Our talented members show you how to build the layout of your dreams.
Clinics are free and will last 30 to 45 minutes. Various aspects
of model railroading will be presented by accomplished, experienced
modelers.

"Making Realistic Trees - the easy way"

Saturday March 17th at 12:00 Noon
Dave will show his uncanny ability to make great-looking trees in just minutes. Before your very eyes, Dave will begin with commonly found materials and turn them into realistic trees in minutes. Audience participation is encouraged. Dave will also share many of his tips that make the tree-building foolproof. |

"Rock making and carving"

Saturday March 17th at 1:00 PM
Using everyday plaster and simple tools, Brion will create a wide
variety of realistic rocks in HO Scale. Watch how a lump of wet plaster is transformed into the perfect backdrop for your trains. After building the rocks, Brion will show how to turn white plaster into a rock cliff that has all the colors of nature. Watch for the flying plaster. |

"Installing DCC decoders in locomotives"

Ernie will share his experience in the delicate process of installing a DCC decoder in a locomotive. Layouts with DCC allow the realistic operation of many trains on the same track at the same time. Featuring wireless control, DCC operation also allows the control of lights and sounds while running.

"Ballasting & Weathering Track "

Brion will show you how to ballast HO track and use a variety of weathering tecniques to weather the track to make it look real. You will be amazed as Brion transforms brand new HO track into realistic trackwork to fit the scene.
Watch closely, he moves fast.
