A fine summer day on a holiday weekend meant playing with trains at the Quantico Depot. Our monthly Open House was on July 1, 2006 and we had a good crowd for the entire day.

Our regular monthly Open House is the first Saturday of the month...come & see our progress.

Coal from the hills is headed to the cities. A Pennsylvania steam loco heads up a long coal drag as it passes through Cooper's Holler.
Photo by Rob McKeever The Virginia Railway Express makes a quick stop at Union Station in Evansport. With the growth around Evansport, traffic is up for the VRE.

A pair of Brion's Mississippi Central switchers make their way slowly over the low trestle at Cooper's Holler. With the bright sun of the middle of the day, this crew has a ways to go before they can call it a day.

Photo by Brion Boyles Our cameraman was a bit suprised when this Chessie steamer blasted out of the tunnel near Cooper's Holler. We usually do not see such fancy paint work in these parts.
Looking north at the bridge at Powell's Creek we find a freight train rumbling across the bridge. That's lash-up of power form the Pennsylvania and the Erie Lackawanna.
