The PWMRC Open House on May 6, 2006 was a day for plenty of train fun at the Quantico Train Depot. Many visitors enjoyed seeing the progress on the club layout up close and personal.

| Ice cold root beer and chili dogs are on the mind of the Illinois Central crew as they approach Evansport and a few minutes for a quick break. The Mississippi Central loco is Brion Boyles and several club members have contributed their talents to the scenery at the south end of Evansport. |

Jane's Santa Fe is running fast on the big curve between Armstrong and Quantico. A quick stop to drop a few passengers and then it's on to Cooper's Holler. |
In the hills above Powell's Creek we find a mix of Mississippi Central motive power from Brion Boyles. The steamer with the lumber is paying the bills today, but the future is on the siding as they pass by.

Today's crowds were so large that the VRE ran a special train with model railroad fans. Nancy is at the throttle for the stop at Quantico Depot. |
| Scenery work on the bridge over Powell's Creek is nearing completion. Trees, rocks, water and bridge details bring the scene to life. Bill is in the cab admiring the beautiful scenery. |

On this busy day, a wide variety of freight passes through Division Yard. Bill is in the background ready to head to Armstrong and Russ is in the foreground with an interesting mix of cars. There's a pilot out there waiting to receive his new propeller. |
