The PWMRC Open House on April 1, 2006 was a great day at the Quantico Train Depot. We had many visitors to see our progress on the layout. Each week we are adding scenery & buildings and working on the track and wiring.
Our regular monthly Open House is the first Saturday of the month...come & see our progress. |

| Scenery work is progressing nicely on the mountainside between Powell's Creek and Cooper's Holler. Russ' Norfolk Southern leads a long string of roadrailers on the run to Evansport. |

With the Quantico Depot being on the former Richmond Fredericksburg & Potomac mainline, we get to see plenty of R.F. & P. action. Rob's freight train has just crossed the bridge at Cooper's Holler and heads to Evansport & Armstrong on it's daily run. |
Union Station at Evansport is a busy place today. We find a mix of motive power at the head of two different passenger trains. In a few moments the passengers will be on their way to Armstrong and then south to Richmond.

A strong afternoon sun casts interesting shadows at Cooper's Holler. Dave's German passenger special is just clearing the bridge and headed into the mountains. |
| With such a busy mainline, the Town of Quantico sees a wide variety of trains every day. Here we find Brion's Illinois Central rumbling by. |
