A rainy Saturday in February was a perfect day for playing with trains at our Open House. It was a day filled with fun for our visitors. Please join us for future events and see the progress on the layout of our dreams.

Lynn is at the throttle of a long BNSF grain train. We just passed the bridge over Powell's Creek and are heading to Evansport.
Being entirely within the Marine Corps Base, we get to see some unusual trains. Here is Dave's model of a German train that was converted for use as an Ambulance train by the US Army. After a few years, the train was converted back to passenger service in Germany.
Union Station in Evansport is a busy place on our layout. The Richmond Fredericksburg and Potomac glides by the highly detailed Union Station by Brion.
The north end of Evansport is quiet on this Saturday. Only a couple of cars await switching on Monday. You can catch a glimpse of the next town through the tunnel.
We enjoyed some visitors from Germany today. On the right is a German passenger train momentarily stopped in Evansport by Engineer Dave. In the background is the roundhouse and switch tower.
