December is a busy month at the Quantico Depot. We had an Open House every Saturday plus the Sunday of the Quantico Holiday Parade...which we participated in again this year. We are not sure exactly what scale the parade train is (maybe H-scale) but you can see the action below.

Our regular monthly Open House is the first Saturday of every month...come & see our progress.

Our second appearance with the PWMRC Train was a big hit with the crowd. The cars are all handmade to very strict tolerances.

It was tough enough to get these guys into the train cars...it is even tougher to get them all moving in the same direction.

A good time was had by all.

To the left is the Honorable Albert Gasser, Mayor of the town of Quantico.

To the right is a hard working steam locomotive on our layout in the Quantico Depot.

On December 22nd we saw the layout debut of Lew's model of the boathouse at Leesylvania State Park. The resemblance to the actual boathouse is uncanny. Attention to detail and careful modeling makes for a new highlight on the layout.
It is a busy day at Dispatch Yard. With many through trains, the yard crew has to stay on their toes.
What would a holiday open house be without our good friend Thomas stopping at Union Station in Evansport, Virginia.
