Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 was a great day...sunny and clear and the doors were open and welcoming to our monthly Open House. More than 100 people visited throughout the day and everyone had a great time. Plenty of trains were running and model train fans (young & not as young) enjoyed the "world's greatest hobby". Our regular monthly Open House is the first Saturday of the month...come & see our progress. |

We see a lot of different things on our layout, including some great memories from days gone by. On a through run led by the Santa Fe, these are Jerry's Gremlins and Pacers. New and shiny, they are ready to roll.
| Being in the East,we see a lot of Eastern road names. A lash up of Chesapeake and Ohio power glides downhill to Evansport. | |||

Tucked away on Possum Branch is one of the boxcars from Powell's Creek and Old Dominion. This is the road name for Boy Scout Troop 964 of Dale City, Virginia. You can see more of the Scouts at the Annual Train Show on March 17th & 18, 2007.
| This the tail end of the long freight train headed up by C & O. We like to keep the railroad running well and use our own PWMRC cleaning car. | ![]() |

Scenery continues to progress on the layout. In the southwest corner is the coal mines scene. This is a mock up of the final building in paper and cardboard.
