| The Prince William County Model
Railroad Club is at the Quantico Depot at 550 Railroad Ave in the Town of Quantico, Virginia and we have a
permanent layout that offers open houses and special events for
visitors. Using the skills and expertise within our club, we enjoy a layout that is fun for our members
and an attraction for visitors.
The Town of Quantico, Virginia is on the west bank of the Potomac River approximately 35 miles south of Washington, DC. With one side of the Town bordered by the river, the other three sides are bordered by the Marine Corps Base of Quantico, thus the Town is surrounded by the Marine Corps Base. The Quantico Depot is on the CSX mainline tracks which also is used by the Virginia Railway Express and Amtrak. Dozens of trains pass the Depot each day with thousands of commuters using VRE to get to Alexandria, Arlington and Washington.. As we build our layout, we will tell the story here on our web site.
