The Annual visit of the Prince William County Model Railroad Club to Chinn Library in Dale City, Virginia  was January 7 & 8, 2006.  As in previous visits, we enjoyed a room crowded with railroad fans and the sounds of fun as the trains were busy all day.   Hundreds of Train fans of all ages visited with us and enjoyed the fun of model railroading.

We continue to build our 'home' layout at the Depot in Quantico, Virginia...visit our Depot Main page.

Lucky railfans got a glimpse of the hard-working R. F & C. by Mike H. At the head of a mixed freight, Mike's road switcher rolls by the passenger station at Peabrake on Brion's module. Photo by Jim Connal
Photo by Jim Connal One of the thrills of model railroading is that the old railroads are still alive and well. With the fine rockwork on Fletch's module as a backdrop, our visitors were treated to a rare display of steam power. The glory days of the R. F & P. were evident with the double headed steam consist furnished by Roger and Rob. What a sight!
Today's show had a bit of an international flair with David R. and his ICE high speed passenger train from Germany. Our photographer was fortunate to catch the ICE as it slowed over John's harbor scene modules. Photo by Jim Connal

Fletch's modules are a favorite spot for photos. With the scenery towering over the trains, the memories of the Richmond Fredericksburg& Potomac are there for all to see. Rob is keeping to the schedule for his time-sensitive freight train. Photo by Jim Connal

Just west of Bristow on Bob's module we find Tim's Jersey Central with a local freight. A long way from home, it's a quiet ride through the Virginia countryside outside of the metropolis of Bristow. Photo by Jim Connal
Photo by Jim Connal We even had a superstar train visitor this weekend. Tim H. brought along Thomas and several of his friends. Many of our visitors were delighted to see their friend on our railroad.
